The mediating role of corporate social responsibility in the impact of ethical leadership on organizational citizenship behavior

Abstract

This study aims to examine the mediating role of corporate social responsibility (CSR) in the impact of ethical leadership on organizational citizenship behavior. To address this objective, a descriptive approach was adopted, presenting a theoretical framework related to corporate social responsibility, ethical leadership, and organizational citizenship behavior. For the empirical part of the study, a questionnaire was distributed to a sample of 118 employees in economic institutions. Partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) using Smart PLS4 was employed to analyze the data. The results revealed a significant mediating effect of corporate social responsibility on the relationship between ethical leadership and organizational citizenship behavior.
