The impact of bank mergers on commercial banks

The Financial and banking systems underwent radical changes during the last two decades of the twentieth century. thus Global competition among banking institutions has become an undeniable reality, in light of the daily consolidation of globalization. In thier pursuit to enhance their competitiveness, banks have turned to mergers to form large, powerful banking entities and overcome the challenges they have begun to face. Therefore, the success of any banking merger largely depends on those managing it, as well as on the efficiency and skill of those supervising the merger process and its requirements in terms of planning, organization, direction, and oversight. Additionally, success depends on the bank's ability to adapt swiftly and effectively to changing economic, political, and social conditions and considerations.
